You can take the Starfly Shuttle bus from Linate Airport into Milan Central Station (Stazione Centrale Milano). This shuttle bus service runs directly from Linate Airport (outside Arrivals) approximately every 30 minutes during the day from 06:10 to 23:30 with a journey time of around 30 minutes. Tickets can be bought on board this bus or alternatively at the Agenzia Autostradale Linate. Starfly bus timetable (please double check times either by phoning or asking at the information desk inside the airport).
Alternatively you can take the standard urban ATM bus X73 from Linate Airport to Piazza San Babila, central Milan. This bus runs approximately every 10 minutes from 06:10 to around midnight every day. Tickets can be purchased from the machine, bar or news-stand before getting on the bus (please note that tickets cannot be purchased onboard this bus). Take the shuttle service into Milan Stazione Centrale (Central Station) and thereafter you can take the train to Como San giovanni Station (takes approx 40 mins). You can get the C10 bus from this train station to destinations on the western branch of Lake Como
Como town to Westside Destinations (Cernobbio, Tremezzo, Menaggio etc)
The main bus terminal in Como is situated across the road from Como Lago Nord train station near to the lakeside.
- C10 bus will take you up the western branch of Lake Como round as far as Colico at the northern part of the lake.
- C30 bus will take you to Bellagio.
Please note that for destinations to the eastside of Lake Como from Linate, you need to get to Milan Central Train Station where you can then take a train heading to Sondrio or Tirano. This train will take you to stops such as Monza, Lecco, Varenna Esino Station (plus other small stations on this side of Lake Como.
